The woman is perceived as weaker than men physically. She is exposed to violence of all kinds, anytime, anywhere. I designed a series of 'transitional accessories,' 'functional jewelry,' that enhance the wearer's sense of control and security in a world where men have superiority. On the one hand, the accessories serve the woman's war of survival in the world. On the other hand, they are a kind of 'erotic amplifier.' All the jewels are worn on the back of the palm. They correspond with the 'Cats family' who are known for surprising by pulling out sharp claws in situations of threat or taking control. The accessories are designed to be modifiable and extendable; the change happens through simple mechanical mechanisms that are activated by the movement of the wearer's hand. Materials | brass. Working techniques | traditional jewelry making.
