Human-robot empathetic interaction At a time when robots are silent partners in our lives, studies show that children who grow up in households that have virtual assistants learn to speak in commands. Assuming we are all going to live with robots, how will we choose to shape our shared life? The project offers an avatar for the voice assistant Alexa, a friendly mediator between us and AI, with the understanding that there are fears surrounding both the interpersonal future and the technological future.
