Can a statistical model design a chair? Artificial intelligence-based models (GPT-3, Dall-E 2) are already able to drive, diagnose diseases, and even paint. Will AI soon replace the designer as well? How can we design alongside it? The project offers a new experience – designing in collaboration with an Artificial Neural Network. The network studied the three-dimensional structure of some 6,000 chairs in depth, and through a “genetic” representation of chairs, allows the design of new chairs. Safi Hefetz
