Diaphanous

The so called honor killing in our society has been always considered personal, and one won’t have an open access to its details, nor its being discussed orderly. For this reason, this work comes to shed a strong light at this phenomena and at violence against women in general. It comes to commemorate the victims of this kind of violence in the past year (2021) in the Palestinian communities in Israel and in West Bank and Gaza. The project includes also workshops with aim of raising awareness of this phenomena through telling the stories of the victims and through producing pieces that commemorate them. Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the name of this project “diaphanous” meant to show how our societies always tried to avoid revealing the phenomena and addressing it openly.
