      DYADA Nest

Wearable nursing aid for mothers with impaired hand function The intimacy involved in the act of breastfeeding fosters bond and intimacy between mothers and their baby and supports the development of the newborn. Mothers with physical disabilities – particularly those with impaired hand function, are often forced to seek the help of another person to create the conditions for nursing. DYADA Nest is a wearable item designed for breastfeeding women with hand function impairment. It offers the mother independence and control over the nursing process. It helps create steady support, and allows changing positions as well as releasing the baby in case of emergencies, all while maintaining skin to skin contact and the peace of mind that the baby is held securely and safely. The mother’s ability to meet the newborn’s needs in the first few months is important for safe attachment, and enhances the sense of confidence in maternal abilities. Eran Lederman
