An experimental documentary film tells the story of a father and daughter attempting to preserve memories as they struggle with the subject of death. While the father recalls his childhood through the restoration of an old radio, his daughter preserves his image through digital scanning, preparing herself for a future when he is no longer there. Digital scans are immortal and enable the conservation of the father forever in the metaverse. The fear of death arises from the knowledge that our loved ones will eventually disappear. Digital scanning is comprised of multiple images which represent death and childhood memory. This phenomenon is depicted by Sigmund Freud’s concept of the "uncanny"–the feeling of strangeness and discomfort in a familiar space or situation.
