Fragility
Careful! Don’t break! This is the feeling I had as a child every time I went into my father’s studio. During my studies I was exposed to fiberglass, a material that is mainly used in the world of industry. Whilst working with this material, I developed a new technique which makes it possible to build geometric shapes and to expand its artistic possibilities. Every time that I finished an object I would remove it carefully from the kiln and was afraid of each gust of wind of movement that might break it, just as I was in my childhood. Do you also remember feeling that way? Materials and techniques: Fiberglass, plaster and quartz molds, slumping Dimensions: various, 10-90 cm
