HUMAN MARIONETTE
Based on questions about freedom and humanity's right to operate independently and uniquely in the world, despite systems and limitations around us, I approach this project as a marionette with limited control over her fate. I designed a series of three human puppets presented as a show, including costumes and innovative accessories that shape the character's ability to move. The designs range from organic to mechanical. All parts are screwed into the garment, which serves as a body shell, and are interchangeable. In designing and manufacturing the parts, I combined traditional craft alongside innovative technologies, such as 3d scanning and modeling, to perfectly fit the moving body. The patterns are taken from childhood paintings that have been manipulated and distorted and reflect an individual's exposure from infancy to the reality within which they will grow and live. Materials: Vegetable-tan leather residues, 3D printing materials such as MJF nylon, TPU, PETG, RESIN. Working techniques: 3D printing with MJF, RESIN, FDM, SLS technologies, 3D scanning, digital printing, 3D design in FUSION 360, MESHMIXER, digital fashion design at Browzwear Vstitcher, CLO3D, print design in photoshop and illustrator software, AR design in AR STUDIO software, traditional leather craft techniques such as layering and wet molding.
