Jerusalem pine
KKL-JNF grove, pinecones, resin Since the afforestation of Israel began, Jerusalem pine became an inseparable part of the local landscape. While widespread, it is considered an inferior raw material and is used mainly as firewood. The project explores the myriad of possibilities to use Jerusalem pine as a local raw material in crafts, offering a method based on the use of fresh wood and wood turning technology to showcase the unique nature of the local pine.
