Steve Jobs The production of a prosthesis is an expensive process that takes almost three months, and still, in the first try the prosthesis usually does not fit the user's body. All of these are particularly problematic when considering variables like prosthetic durability and children’s rapid growth. OSTHESIS presents a new user-friendly approach to measuring the human body, offering a solution in an open-source format. The tool bridges the gap between disciplines and by incorporating smart straps that wrap the hand, transfers the measurements to a web interface.
