Idan Ben Jacob
Our Inheritance Was Left to Us by No Testament
This book presents a reflection on the possible futures of humanity through a mirror of our past: from the earliest use of technological tools and the lifestyles of hunter-gatherers to the formation of permanent settlements and the crystallization of written language. By exploring interconnections between past and future, the book raises critical questions about the meaning of our present and the role of our tools and technologies in shaping human agency. The book is designed as bilingual - the first page in Hebrew is the last in English. This is meant to materially and visibly place the reader at the intersection of the encounter between past and future. An encounter that itself shapes our sense of the present as a space of interpretation, negotiation and possibility. Guidance: Dana Gez
