SEATEX
Design and cultivation in an underwater world that combines humans, animals, and nature Seagrass is a miraculous plant that serves as a source of food for both humans and fish, a marine habitat and facilitator of ecological restoration. Growing seaweed can address countless ecological problems such as carbon emissions and shoreline retreat, farming nutritious food and more. On the other hand, due to various obstacles caused by human interference, its growing areas are dwindling. SEATEX presents a new vision for underwater agriculture: restoring seaweed meadows using sowing and growing units. The sowing units are made of biodegradable materials. They form a quick habitat while doubling as a tourist attraction. מנחה: פרופ' חיים פרנס
