Ruby is a robot that lives alone in the dark in an endless metalic structure. the structure represent his own mind and sould. with him' there are also his inner demons that only come out when there is no light/ luckly for Ruby he has a lantern. Ruby has to maintain the place, daily, otherwise the demons might come out. the movie starts when the lamp breaks. the demons come out and Ruby has to escape for his life. the demons catch Ruby; but before everything ends a mechanical bird that emits light shows up. she particularly seems to like to munch on electric cable-like worms that swarms the place. Ruby tries to aproach her but she flys away. eventualy they end up in the exit. the bird flys into the fog but Ruby cant keep chaisung her because the exit lead to an edge of a cliff.
