The painting poetry

Artists choose different mediums and tools to express their feelings. The relations between the different mediums of art have always been of interest, as another path or medium to transfer the artist's message to its audience. Such relations can use different human’s capabilities, such as sight, hearing, the use of language, or movement, and can be found in the illustration of books, interactive exhibitions, or video clips. Technology developments, such as artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization or picture analysis, have opened a new era of opportunities to explore the relations between the different mediums of arts. The Painting Poetry project explores the relations between paintings and written poems, based on technology tools and software code. The specific painting is scanned and based on its colors, lines, medium and description combination - The software writes a poem that potentially expresses the feelings expressed through a different medium. This way, the Painting Poetry project creates an innovative and unique relationship between the audience's visual and linguistic capabilities, and a link between two different mediums based on a specific piece of art. The project includes poetry books which are based on various art collections and thus gives the ability to test the strength of the project in the connections between these works by poetry.
